Hello everyone!

ive been lurking for a while and finally got around to registering.

about me: i was essentially born in & indoctrinated from youth.

i was always a borderline "bad association" type because i always did the minimum and always disagreed with much of what was taught; even when i was a child.. luckily for me my father was never a jw so i never had to endure the male head pressure.

I figured out how Animals ended up on different continents.

sure about the kangaroo it's possible his pouch could have filled up with water and he sinked and.

how the crossed the ocean, that's something i'm working on.. then we have "if you don't believe in god you don't know right from wrong".

Any funny stories of when a"brother" giving a talk, said something "funny" or "questionable", and didn't even realize it?

there were always all types of speakers in the org.

myself, growing up a "witness", must have heard all types of talks, and given by all manner of speakers, especially on sundays, when almost every week we would get a "visiting" brother giving the public talk.. sometimes, you would have a "great" speaker, all fluent and animated.

other times we would get a comical speaker, one who would maybe purposelly get a few laughs outta the audience.

I have mention this before, an elderly brother doing the mid week meeting. I was new,

baptized no more then a year. The brother made the statement, never lay with a women

when she is masturbating. He meant to say never lay with a women when she is menstruating.

Boy that got my attention, you could hear a pin drop in the KH. One of the brothers corrected him,

man I was happy to hear that.

How is this possible if the Bible says they are "all sealed in the tribulation" Rev. 7.

They can't be sealed today, because we are NOT in the tribulations now,

nor have we been in history. In fact if they are being sealed from the Apostles era

the tribulation has been running 2000 years, which makes no sense Biblically.

i don't recall in jw land they use this verse to prove the end is near.. my question, what is this knowledge?.

it's a great verse to cover their butts, the light is getting brighter.

That's what I was thinking, millie 210. The knowledge for Jesus returning

has been around for 2000 years and each generation believe he will return

in their life time, but the internet provides so much that cause people to run to

and fro....

With more knowledge the Bible become more of a fairy tale.
